Meet ashley

I am passionate about inspiring others to be their best self. I work as an Online Wellness & Fitness Coach. I also work with youth as a School Psychologist at alternative high schools. On all the free time I have, I am working on my doctorate in Human Rights Education.

Basically, I am all over the place, so I spend as much time as I can traveling. Most of my wanderlust centers around food and vantage points.

I hope this site inspires you to explore new places and to be a better, healthier version of yourself.

I am a 33 year old girl mom to a one year old. I began my fitness journey in January 2016. I realized I needed to get back in shape. I had been in shape most of my life, but something about turning 30 and having less time to be active took a toll on me.

I signed up for a free Team Beachbody account and took before pictures and my measurements and began the challenge.

mexico

So I did a 3 month challenge with my end goal ending on my trip to Mexico - I had been in the best shape of my life by that trip. When I came home from my trip, I wanted to help others be able to reach their goals too. I had always turned down the coaching opportunity, but being in a challenge group showed me how amazing the support and accountability can be to reaching your goals. I began drinking superfoods and didn’t have that afternoon slump like I used to.

I also wanted to do something I was passionate about while being able to work from home or while traveling. I wanted to live with a flexible schedule.

ASHLEY'S TRANSFORMATION

Then in August 2016, I was pregnant with my daughter. I found that continuing to coach and to live a healthy lifestyle was motivating other moms to do the same. This inspired me to continue coaching while motivating me to stay active.

After I had my daughter, I was ready to get my body back to how I looked and felt. I wanted to get back in shape and shed those unwanted pounds from pregnancy and feel strong again, but finding the time to go to the gym was not possible. So, I am glad that I already had access and familiarity with working out at home.

By the end of my 60 days I had lost 12 pounds and 17.5" - total of 25 pounds since my daughter's delivery. I loved eating clean and I was starting to have amazing energy every day. Shakeology also helped me jump start my weight loss and shed the rest of the pounds.

Postpartum

Now I am one year postpartum and feel better and stronger than ever before.

The pic on the LEFT was PRE-BABY after 12 weeks of going to the gym 1-2 hours per day, taking all these supplements without really reading the label, and eating pretty ok. The photo on the RIGHT is working out at home in my VERY small living room. Looking at a provided workout calendar, pressing play on the video for that day, following the video for 30-60 minutes, then taking supplements that I knew were all natural and made from actual food. The photo on the left was pre-baby and the photo on the right is 11 months after having Elle.

Between these two photos, I have also learned a lot about nutrition. And no I do not restrict myself of all the good stuff. I am just more aware about what foods make me FEEL amazing and what food makes me feel like I have a hangover. I still eat cake, pizza, and all the goodies, I just have a healthier mindset about what I'm ingesting. Working out is great for your body and building strength FEELS powerful and gives you confidence, but without a mindful nutrition base, all the hard work you put in to working out is only going to get you so far.
